Lewis Energy Group is Hiring an IT Support Specialist (Internship) Near San Antonio, TX
Overview
Frontline technical support resource responsible for installing software, troubleshooting, debugging, user account management, and help desk activities.
Responsibilities
Provides end-user support using the ticketing system to track and document requests. Sets up and installs PCs, software and desk telephones for new hires. Assist with MFA setup for new hires.
Creates Active Directory and email accounts for team members. Adds and deletes users to and from Active Directory security groups.
Provides updates, status, and completion information to manager, help desk, and/or users, via voice mail, e-mail, or in-person communication.
Troubleshoot video conference system, hardware (PC and Apple), and software. Basic troubleshooting and install of network cables and switches (Cat 5/5e/6).
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Associate or Bachelor's degree is preferred; and three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have advanced knowledge of PC’s and Mac operating systems and basic knowledge of its applications.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
CompTIA A / Net - preferred
Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician - preferred.
Valid driver's license
Other Skills and Abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks.
Other Qualifications
Basic experience in communicating IT technologies issues and solutions.
